Hint: you can press the “enter” key to cause the tape to play its next segment.

Rate Control

To adjust the speed at which the tape plays back, move this slider. 100% is “normal” speed.

Tape Reel

The reel on the left shows the proportion of tape available to be recorded. The reel on the right shows the proportion of tape used.

The elapsed and remaining times are also displayed digitally underneath the reel.

Level Meter

To set the threshold for recognizing silence, move the boundary between the two rectangles.

The sliding pointers indicate the level of sound currently entering the microphone.

Volume Control

To change the volume of played back sound, move this slider’s knob.
